14th United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights
The Forum is the world’s largest annual gathering on business and human rights. It brings together 2,000 to 3,000 participants each year in Geneva, representing all relevant stakeholder groups, including States, the United Nations system, intergovernmental and regional organizations, community and civil society groups, businesses, non-governmental organizations, trade unions, investor organizations, human rights institutions, and more. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about the latest initiatives to promote respect for human rights by businesses, based on the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (the UN Protect, Respect and Remedy framework). It provides a prime opportunity to share experiences, discuss dilemmas, and address questions. Knowing & Acting will be there. Come and join us.

The 20th anniversary of “Les Assises de l’économie de la mer”
The “Assises de la mer”, the maritime economy conference, is the leading annual event for maritime stakeholders in France, held annually for the past 20 years in a different port. It is organized by the newspaper “Le Marin” and the “Ouest France” press group, in partnership with the French Maritime Cluster. Knowing & Acting was there.
Strategic Meetings of the Mediterranean, RSMed 2025
Organized by the Mediterranean Foundation for Strategic Studies (FMES), this leading annual geopolitical event on Mediterranean issues brings together civilian and military actors from across the Mediterranean region. Together, they reflect on various problems through open debate. Knowing & Acting was there.
United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) 3
The third United Nations Ocean Conference, following those in Lisbon (2022) and New York (2017), aimed to monitor the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14). It offered an opportunity to meet thousands of stakeholders committed to ocean protection: representatives of public and territorial authorities, Indigenous Peoples, scientists and academics, NGOs, mariners, and explorers from around the world. The event also provided opportunities to participate in or organized working sessions. Knowing & Acting was present. We contributed to the launch of the Space4Ocean Alliance for our client CNES and its partners. We also initiated sessions and roundtables on the theme of Ocean and Human Rights, with our partners: the Institute for Human Rights and Business, the Rafto Foundation for Human Rights and the Ocean & Human Rights platform, with the Metis Arts and Development Fund/AFD (French Development Agency).

One Ocean Week
Norway hosts this annual event to share experiences, innovations, and best practices for the sustainable use of the ocean, with a focus on respect for human rights. It is a key event for Norwegian maritime stakeholders, and political authorities participate and pay close attention to it. The event also offers an opportunity to discover a rich ecosystem dedicated to ocean sustainability. It is worth noting that the city of Bergen is part of the Coalition of Coastal Cities and Regions. This initiative was launched and is chaired by the city of Nice and its mayor, Christian Estrosi. Knowing & Acting was invited to participate in two panels: “Business and Human Rights in the Blue Economy” and the launch of the One Ocean Human Rights Center by the Rafto Foundation for Human Rights.

The Geneva forum is the world's largest annual gathering on business and human rights. It brings together 2,000 to 3,000 participants. All stakeholders are represented: states, businesses, NGOs, Indigenous Peoples, and more. This forum offers a unique opportunity for exchange. It is the ideal place to stay informed about the latest initiatives. Experiences and dilemmas regarding corporate human rights compliance are shared. The Forum was created to promote the United Nations Guiding Principles on business and human rights (UNGPs) and its three pillars: Protect, Respect, and Remedy. Knowing & Acting was there to gather inspiring information for its analyses and to meet its partners.
Assises de l’économie de la mer” 2024(Maritime Economy Conference (19th edition)
The French Maritime Economy Conference (Assises de l’économie de la mer) is the leading annual event for maritime stakeholders in France and Europe. Organized each year in a different French port by the newspaper of reference “Le Marin” and the “Ouest France” press group, in partnership with the French Maritime Cluster, it offers an opportunity to gain insights into the major challenges facing the maritime world, meet leading politicians and economic players, and be inspired by innovative startups, associations, and remarkable individuals. Participation of Knowing & Acting for its client CNES.
One Ocean Week
A leading annual event for the Norwegian maritime community focused on the sustainable use of the ocean. Local political authorities pay particular attention to human rights and the ocean, as well as international partnerships. This event offers the opportunity to discover a particularly rich ecosystem dedicated to ocean sustainability (innovations and start-ups, national and international funding for the blue economy, etc.).
